Reporting glossary
Definitions aligned with the paid media and Salesforce reporting specification used as reference for this demo.
Salesforce Campaign ID
The central attribution key used to connect campaign activity across Salesforce, paid media and GA4. Each Salesforce campaign has a unique ID maintained in a Google Sheet together with its reporting classifications. The ID is carried in campaign tagging, landing-page query parameters, URL suffixes or platform naming so activity can be mapped back to the corresponding Salesforce campaign.
Campaign dimensions
Channel, Platform, Brand, Segment and Offer are generally derived by looking up the Salesforce Campaign ID in the campaign reference Google Sheet. Specific override rules apply to sources such as Organic & Direct traffic and Eloqua.
Visitors
A reporting name for GA4 Session_Starts. New Visitors are Session_Starts where the New/Returning classification is “new”.
Conversions
For the Salesforce Report, conversion volume combines relevant in-platform leads and GA4 conversion events. Examples include chat starts, email captures, Contact Us, demos, meetings booked, resource downloads, MES demo conversions, phone captures and Product Demo Step 1.
AQL
A count of Salesforce Leads represented in the reporting model as relevant rows in the Salesforce CampaignMember table. The report treats each relevant CampaignMember record as one AQL; it does not define AQL through an Eloqua scoring threshold.
TQL
A count of Salesforce CampaignMember records where the custom field cfcr_tql_date__c is populated. A populated date indicates that the lead has qualified as a TQL. The operational rule that populates this Salesforce field is outside the supplied reporting specification.
Cost per AQL · CpAQL
Total paid-media cost divided by the number of AQLs in the selected reporting context.
Cost per TQL · CpTQL
Total paid-media cost divided by the number of TQLs in the selected reporting context.
AQL conversion rate
Number of AQLs divided by Number of Conversions. For paid platforms, Conversions means the combined in-platform and GA4 conversion volume. For other channels such as Eloqua, the denominator is represented by Visitors.
CVR
Overall conversion rate calculated as the sum of in-platform and GA4 conversions divided by total clicks.
Eloqua classification
GA4 traffic with source/medium “Eloqua / email” or “Eloqua / Email_Nurture” is classified as Platform = Eloqua and Channel = Direct Mail. Eloqua platform data is also categorized as Direct Mail.
Data feeds
Salesforce and Eloqua are represented as read-only feeds synchronized through Talend/Stitch. GA4 and paid-media platform data are represented as read-only feeds provided through Funnel.io. The Salesforce reporting tables used are Campaign and CampaignMember.
AQL → TQL progression
A derived demo metric calculated as TQLs divided by AQLs. It is included to compare downstream progression between campaigns; it is not presented as a metric definition from the supplied reporting glossary.
